Panel 1:
Creativity, Personal Fulfillment & Making a Difference
In this panel we will engage in a conversation that challenges conventional thinking about what it means to be creative. How to recognize symptoms of misalignment when we are identified with  external roles and definitions? What becomes possible if we redirect our focus inward and begin to access  this part within ourselves  that lies beyond the rules and assumptions of society we’ve  subscribed to? How does aligning with one’s authentic creative expression relate to a sense of personal fulfillment, meaning and purpose? How does a sense of ownership become the source for generating and designing one’s own life and career? How can a sense of passion  become a force of profound contribution to the greater good and flourishing of all?

Insights:
• It’s not personal, it’s collective
• Take inventory which mindset we have lived from
• Create clarity
• Establish new reference point / recontextualize our story

What were the obstacles of merging those  from a historical perspective? What’s our current orientation about passion and profession?  Where may we need to look at so as to create new models that allow for professions being fueled by passion? What skills, trades, attributes and qualities may be of necessity today so as to create and generate a life of passion, purpose and meaning?

In this panel we will engage in a conversation about the various structures and professions that may allow for  self-expression. Our panelists will be sharing their unique journey of their own discovery about their passion and the various professions that allowed them to give voice and visibility to that inner sense of  passion. How is what she is doing today  a reflection of her self-expression and passion? What if you are still trying to find it? What do you do if you have multiple interests and passions?  And what can become possible when you begin to tap into  your own authentic creative self-expression with a deep sense of relatedness and understanding for the unmet needs of our world?

In this panel we will engage in a conversation about how women’s active participation and leadership in Hollywood can forge and contribute to a redefining of Hollywood.  How can women leverage the platform, power and the reach of Hollywood as a vehicle to bring awareness and make a difference in areas they are passionate about? How can we utilize storytelling as a tool to transform cliche and stereotypes? How can we employ Hollywood to redefine women’s roles and tell new stories?

• You have as much or more power as Hollywood
• You need to focus on delivering value
• You need to charge money from day one
• It’s not about technology, it’s about finding collaborators

How is it different from traditional models of  collaboration, partnership, team and consensus building?  What is a user-centered approach and how does it differ from conventional practices?  How can we apply principles and approaches from UX practices as the new standard process  for any idea engagement, business, service, product, project or movement?  And why UX principles may become the new model for human interaction in the 21st Century?

We will be unpacking our own journey together as we were preparing, producing and co-creating MERGE.  We’ll be looking at our path of development, overcoming differences and creating alignment, resonance and partnership for the purpose of a mutual vision. What kind of new approach and mindset may be required to embark upon, accelerate, launch and scale a mutual vision to the next level?

Whiteboard Battle: The Art of Alignment & Partnership
Part performance and part improv, Dorit Cypis and Jose Caballer come together to create a dynamic alignment exercise by merging tools, processes and strategies from each of their respective practices. Agile vs. mediation tools, each will battle it out to determine how two creatives can work to collaborate on a shared vision. Our goal is to show how you can make process fun.

• The qualities that women represent are needed
• How women relate to the world is critical to the survival of the world
• To start women need to take a leadership role

We’ll be introducing the next steps as to how we collectively can move forward, form collaborations and new partnerships so as to support each other for a brighter and healthier future for you, for me, for all of us, and certainly for the generations to come.
